Garre Winery was named and honored after Rosa Garre. The Garre family imported their historic wine making knowledge and charm to from Genoa, Italy to the California Livermore wine country, thus creating the popular Garre establishment. Originally, the land was once a sprawling horse ranch and family farm and vineyards. To this day Garre Winery is still successfully owned by Bob Molinaro of the Garre family and has become a gem of a boutique winery well know in the TriValley area, also frequented by 'Foodies' that enjoy adventurous dining and a rustic backdrop.
The estate is now open to the public for wine tastings of our award winning wines, special summer bocce ball and live music events and for lunch at our little Italian cafe. Our Wine Country-Mediterranean cuisine is thoughtfully paired with our award winning wines. Your guests will be pleasantly surprised by the scrumptious array of choices served at your reception. Our hearty yet sophisticated dishes may include a wine country salad with spring greens, figs, gorgonzola and candied pecans. Pan seared fillet mignon wrapped in bacon and wild mushroom demi glaze served with our ever popular melt in your mashed potatoes, or the shrimp stuffed sole baked in a Diablo Mornay sauce just to mention a few mouthwatering meals to choose from.
We do weddings! From intimate to grand affairs, the versatility of the many locations offered at Garre will amaze you. The brilliant 6,000 square foot white pavilion tent surrounded by our vineyards is a great choice for a larger, festive and lively wedding.
If you prefer a romantic yet an old world charm setting, The Martinelli Event Center will also inspire you. As you drive through the iron gated entrance, you will be welcomed by the abundance of rolling vineyards. The mission style surroundings bring a feel of 'simply stated beauty'. When walking up to the rustic oak double doored entrance and under the bell tower you are then viewing a cobblestoned courtyard and fireplace with iron accents The Martinelli Center also has an indoor reception hall with vaulted ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and warm oak wainscoting accented walls.
